Our whole mission behind this bakery is to give you a taste of comfort every time you have one of our treats! We want you to feel like you're in on a family secret.

The Story behind our Name!

It took me a very long time to get up the courage to start A Piece of Comfort Bakery & Co. I had friends, family and even co-workers always telling me that I should start a Bakery or at least start charging them for what I was making. I have been baking since I was kid - always making a mess and trying new recipes i found online - it was fun for me even when they didn't turn out 100%. Finally I was working at a store in a mall with a very supportive group of colleagues who wanted me to pursue my passion for baking. My boss at the time was also considering an entrepreneurial adventure and we created timelines on when things needed to be completed. First one was a name for our business - we had 1 MONTH to come up with a name and logo idea. Literally 1 day after this deadline I was driving to Orillia for grocery shopping and A Piece of Comfort Bakery & Co. came to me completely out of no where - especially since I had been thinking about this way longer then a month. That night I reached out to my best friend who is a graphic designer to help me with my logo... and the rest is kind of awesome!
